KIBALE, QUEEN AND LAKE MBURO 7 DAY SAFARI
Day one: Arrival - Entebbe -Kampala -
On arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide from Inside Uganda Tours who will then transfer you to the hotel of your choice for the over night at either Serena Kampala Hotel, Sheraton Hotel, Emin Pasha Hotel (High end/luxurious accommodation), Hotel Africana, Mamba Point Guest House, Grand Imperial, Speke Hotel (Medium class accommodation) or Namirembe Guest House, Makerere Guest House, Red Chilli Hideaway (Low budget/basic accommodation) or any of the hotels in Entebbe.
Day Two: Kampala-Kibale
Today begins with breakfast and later head for Kibale Forest National Park, approximately 5 hours drive via Mubende. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus. Relax in the evening have dinner and over night at Ndali Lodge or Primate Lodge (High end/luxurious accommodation) Mantana Tented Camp Hotel (Medium class accommodation) Chimpanzee Guest House or Rwenzori View Guest House (Low budget/basic accommodation) a stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled "Mountains of the Moon". Evening cultural visit around the crates and evening sunset in the wilderness is amazing.
Day 3: Kibale/Queen Elizabeth Park
Early morning trek for chimpanzees. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view chimps, a thick jungle with a towering canopy. In the afternoon, drive south wards into Queen Elizabeth National Park , sightseeing and game viewing enroute. Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge or Jacana Lodge perched right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Uganda great Lakes and Maramagambo forest respectively. (High end/luxurious accommodation) or Mweya Hostel (Low budget/basic accommodation)
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth Park
Have a dawn game drive in Uganda's best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, for large numbers of buffalo and hippo. Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge or Jacana Lodge perched right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Uganda great Lakes and Maramagambo forest respectively. (High end/luxurious accommodation) or Mweya Hostel (Low budget/basic accommodation)
Day 5: Queen-Mburo
Today's drive is through what is probably East Africa's most spectacular scenery, the savanna grassland which reaches the Kyambura Gorge. A visit to the bat Cave close to Maramagambo forerst is a must! All should carry torches. The afternoon lunch enroute. Drive to Mburo Park with evening nature walk. Dinner and over night at Mihingo Lodge (High end/luxurious accommodation), or Mantana Tented Camp (Medium class accommodation) or at the Rwonyo Rest Camp Bandas (Low budget/basic accommodation).
DAY 6: Mburo
After breakfast make an early morning game drive in the park which is an is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland , Warthogs, buffalo and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best place to find African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, etc. Dinner and over night at Mhingo Lodge (High end/luxurious accommodation), or Mantana Tented Camp (Medium class accommodation) or at the Rwonyo Rest Camp Bandas (Low budget/basic accommodation).
DAY 7: Mburo- Entebbe/Depart
Return to Kampala, then Entebbe, with lunch enroute and stop over at Equator Uganda before your evening departures home. End of services.
